What are Group Sessions?
Group Sessions are coworking sessions with small groups of up to 8 participants including a designated Host. The Host facilitates check-ins at the start and a debrief at the end.
Who is the Host?
The Host is a Focusmate community member just like you.
Does everyone have access?
Not yet. Group Sessions are an early experiment with limited access. We're starting with a small group of members and will gradually expand access to the wider community as we learn.
Where can I find Group Sessions?
You'll find Group Sessions in the right-hand panel of your dashboard. If you know you have been given access to Group Sessions but don’t see them, please refresh your browser to get the latest version of the app.
At what times are Group Sessions available?
Group Sessions are available from 10am to 2pm Eastern time. Availability will likely expand as the experiment grows.
When should I join a Group Session I've booked as a participant?
Just like 1:1 sessions, aim to join Group Sessions 30-60 seconds before start time so you're ready and settled when the Host begins the check-in.
What if a session is full?
Because this is an early experiment with limited spots, sessions may fill up. If the session you want is full, try booking a different time; and check back, since availability can open up as people adjust their schedules.
Can I host my own Group Session?
During this initial phase, Hosts are selected by the Focusmate team. If you're interested in hosting down the line, keep an eye out. We'll share more as the experiment grows.
What should I do if I find a bug?
Since this is an early Labs version, bugs are expected. If something isn't working right, please use this link or go to 'Help and Feedback' > 'Share feedback' in the right-hand panel of your dashboard.
What happens after the Labs phase? Will Group Sessions stick around?
Group Sessions might change significantly or be discontinued as we learn.
